How to: Upper Trap Release with Theracane

Using both hands, grab both handlebars of the theracane, use the hooked end to compress tight and tender spots of the upper trap.
Sit upright, have your head slightly tilted to the side you want to compress.
Use the knobbed end, to find a tender area along the upper trap. Once found, use the theracane to compress the tender region down, slowly bend your neck to the opposite side. At the end, hold tension for 5 to 10 seconds.
You can slowly move your way up and down your upper trap, at any regions you find tender points, sometimes known as trigger points, or muscle “knots”.
Stay within a fairly pain free range, although tenderness is expected. If you are uncertain, check with your healthcare provider if you should proceed.
Repeat up to 5x on each side.
