Some Very Bad Luck in Mirissa, Sri Lanka

Описание: If you caught our last video, you already know we have arrived in Mirissa, Sri Lanka! This beautiful coastal town is known for it's incredible beaches, famous whale watching, and the iconic Coconut Tree Hill. We began our exploration of Mirissa by going whale watching as it is one of the top things to do in Mirissa. Unfortunately, this really didn't go to plan. Everyone told us whale watching was one of the best things to do in Sri Lanka, but we're not so sure we would agree 🤮 Although we didn't have the best time on the boat, we can highly recommend the whale watching company called Raja and the Whales. Once we recovered, we made the short drive to Weligama, a town very close to Mirissa that is best known for it's excellent beginner surf spots. Not only is Weligama Beach gorgeous, and worth a stop of it's own, but Weligama has some awesome restaurants to check out as well! We loved our lunch at Hangten Rooftop Bar and, had we been staying in Weligama, we may have looked into staying at the Hangten Hostel. It looked pretty awesome!

You will already know our little Mirissa girl if you saw our previous video, and of course we had to stop by and see her again. Helping stray dogs in Sri Lanka is something we do as often as we can, and this special girl will forever hold a piece of our hearts.

If you have done any research on what to do in Sri Lanka, chances are you have heard about Coconut Tree Hill. This might just be the most Instagrammable spot in all of Sri Lanka. This little jut-out of sand covered in palm trees is perfect enough to be out of a story book. It was the perfect place to wind down after a rather unfortunate start to our Mirissa, Sri Lanka vlog. It can be a little tricky to find, but if you are headed to Sri Lanka we definitely recommend you visit Coconut Tree Hill, Mirissa!
