The Disintegration and Fall of the Roman Empire: Every Month (1180 - 1204)

Описание: 🌎 Upon the death of Manuel I Komnenos in 1180, the Roman Empire entered into a progressively-deteriorating tailspin as a series of mediocre emperors took the helm of a state that had become almost entirely reliant on the strength of the emperor. This would lead to such catastrophes as the Vlach-Bulgarian Revolt, the rise of local separatism in Anatolia and the Balkans, and eventually the Fourth Crusade in 1204, which would snuff out the unified Roman state for good after almost two millennia of existence.
