🚨 👉 You're called to a six-year-old female patient who's complaining of severe headaches and increased fatigue and significant neck pain.
You arrive to find the child in her bed with the lights off and when you turn the lights on, she's clearly in distress and in pain.
She's pale, tired and obviously in a lot of pain, she has a fever of 38.9 C, which is 103 F and is not drinking many fluids or eating.
Here are her vitals:
Skin is pale,
LOC is alert but fatigued,
Eyes are PEARRL,
BGL is normal
and temperature is above.

❓ What do you feel this patient is suffering from?
❓ What treatment can you start with this patient?
❓ And is this patient is currently in a compensated or decompensated state of shock?
