The Ozark Overland Adventure Trail (OOAT) is a popular 4x4 route that most off-roaders drive in about five days. I wanted to see if an adventure bike could do it — and how long it would actually take. Spoiler: it wasn’t easy. From deep water crossings to slick red-clay climbs, Day 1 turned into a full-on endurance test.
Day 1 Highlights:
• Rain-soaked climbs that felt impossible
• Multiple drops (and a few humble moments)
• Broken mounts, soaked gear, and a ton of lessons learned
• Some of the best Ozark views you’ll ever see
This ride is all about pushing limits, learning the hard way, and finding out what adventure bikes — and me — are really capable of when conditions go sideways.
