Описание: This is my friend Paolo's Lake Tanganyika Biotope Aquarium. An imposing tank with filtering sump of more than three thousand liters in its fishroom where there are other large aquariums. The rocks and stones recreate a natural and majestic environment for these endemic cichlids of the African lake.
In the first tank there are:

In the second aquarium of two meters tub you can see

Lake Tanganyka (or Tanganyka) is one of the great lakes of East Africa. It is the second deepest lake on the planet after Lake Baikal, and also the second in volume, again after Lake Baikal. It is located on the border of Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi and Zambia.
It is located inside one of the great pits of the Rift Valley, whose mountainous walls form the boundaries, much of the coast is made up of steep escarpments. It has a narrow and elongated shape, and extends for 677 km in a north-south direction with an average width of 50 km.

Its size makes it the sixth largest lake in the world; precisely it is the second largest African lake after Lake Victoria, and the deepest of all the continent. It is the longest freshwater lake in the world.

The lake is home to at least 300 species of fish from the Cichlid family and another 150 non-cichlid species, most of which live near the bottom of the lake (benthic zone). Speciation of cichlids in the lake has created species adapted to various environments. The "goby cichlids" (genera Eretmodus and Tanganicodus), for example, have adapted to life in shallow waters near the coast, affected by strong waves, developing a morphology similar to that shown by some marine Gobiidae and Blenniidae.

However, the largest biomass of fish lives offshore (pelagic zone), and is dominated by six species, two of the sardine family and four of the Lates family (species similar to the Nile perch). 98% of the cichlid species of Tanganyika are endemic to the lake.

Questo è l'acquario Biotopo del Lago Tanganica del mio amico Paolo. Una vasca imponente con sump di filtraggio di più di tremila litri nella sua fishroom dove ci sono altri grandi acquari. La rocce e pietre ricreano un ambiente naturale e maestoso per questi Ciclidi endemici del lago africano.

*Il lago Tanganica (o Tanganyka) è uno dei grandi laghi dell'Africa orientale. È il secondo lago più profondo del pianeta dopo il lago Bajkal, ed anche il secondo per volume, sempre dopo il lago Bajkal. Si trova al confine tra Tanzania, Repubblica Democratica del Congo, Burundi e Zambia.
È situato all'interno di una delle grandi fosse della Rift Valley, le cui pareti montagnose ne costituiscono i confini, gran parte della costa è costituita da ripide scarpate. Ha una forma stretta e allungata, e si estende per 677 km in direzione nord-sud con una larghezza media di 50 km.

Le sue dimensioni lo rendono il sesto lago più esteso al mondo; precisamente è il secondo lago africano per estensione dopo il lago Vittoria, e il più profondo in assoluto di tutto il continente. È il lago d'acqua dolce più lungo del mondo.

Il lago ospita almeno 300 specie di pesci della famiglia dei Ciclidi e altre 150 specie non-ciclidi, la maggior parte delle quali vive vicino al fondo del lago (zona bentonica). La speciazione dei ciclidi nel lago ha creato specie adattate ai vari ambienti. I "ciclidi-ghiozzo" (generi Eretmodus e Tanganicodus), ad esempio, si sono adattati alla vita nelle acque basse vicino alla costa, interessate da forte moto ondoso, sviluppando una morfologia simile a quella mostrata da alcuni Gobiidae e Blenniidae marini.

La più grande biomassa di pesce vive al largo (zona pelagica), ed è dominata da sei specie, due della famiglia delle sardine e quattro della famiglia dei Lates (specie simili al persico del Nilo). Il 98% delle specie di ciclidi del Tanganica sono endemiche del lago
