In this video, we explore one of Utah’s most unique state parks, featuring incredible wildlife, scenic trails, lakeside camping, and unforgettable sunsets over the Great Salt Lake.

We begin by showcasing the sweeping views of the Great Salt Lake, surrounding mountain ranges, and vast grasslands. Then we highlight the park’s famous wildlife, including pronghorn antelope, birds, and the legendary bison herd of 500–700 animals, one of the largest publicly managed bison herds in the United States. You’ll see how close you can get to wildlife while driving scenic roads, hiking, or biking the trails.

Next, we take you to Ladyfinger Campground, a small, quiet walk-in campground with vault toilets, no water or electricity, and no open fires during our visit. The campsites are about 230 feet from the parking area and offer amazing lake and mountain views.

From the campground, we follow a short 0.2-mile trail (5 minutes) down to the shore of the Great Salt Lake. See the salt crystals left behind by evaporation and watch birds float on the surface of the ultra-salty water as if they’re gliding on ice.

We also explore the nearby Ladyfinger Point Trail, located just 1/3 of a mile from the campground. The trail starts off smooth, then becomes rocky near the end, where a short climb leads to panoramic views of the lake, mountains, and park.

To finish the day, we watch a spectacular sunset at Ladyfinger Point. The sun lights up the sky with vibrant color, and the lake reflects the mountains and clouds like a mirror—an unforgettable experience!
