The spirit of carnival continues! Our trip in Salvador da Bahia continues with an Afro-Heritage tour of the city. On this travel adventure, we learned about Candomblé, an African diasporic religion that originated in Brazil during the 19th century. The tour also included a visit to the Barra Lighthouse, a walk through the town market of São Joaquim, sightseeing the golden Church of São Francisco, and a tasting of the popular Afro-Brazilian street food, acarajé.
