Most of this production was filmed at Sweetfarm, in Half Moon Bay, California. Sweet Farm is the first non-profit sanctuary in the world to address the global impacts of factory farming across animals, the plants and the planet.

Living in California we feel a constant dread of wildfire, and this is an emotion that has been growing throughout the years. Last year my family was evacuated from our home, because of a nearby fire. Thankfully, we were okay, but there are thousands who have lost their homes and livelihoods in recent fires.

Growing up in California, we knew fire was a danger, but the increase has made it so that I don't turn ever off my phone at night for fear of missing an evacuation warning. We are now living in a darker season. A constant darker season.

Climate change is a chief culprit in the wildfires which ravage California and the western United States, as well as other parts of the world. This is a heart-breaking dilemma that requires more awareness and action to create the change we want to see in our world.

I support The WorldWide Fund for Nature, which is an international non-governmental organization founded in 1961 that works in the field of wilderness preservation and the reduction of human impact on the environment.
