Today's story is about two orphan sisters named Sajadia and Nadia. Both of them aspired to become scientists in physics. After their father passed away, they inherited a large house, and their mother, Hadia, taught tuition to support the family. Both sisters dreamed of obtaining higher education in the UK. One day, a woman came to their house with a marriage proposal for them. She had two sons, both of whom lived in the Lake District, UK. The woman explained that one son was a businessman and the other had a cash-and-carry business.
Hadia, the mother, agreed to the proposal. Over the next two years, the woman visited Pakistan six times. After the engagement, she suggested that the marriage be conducted over the phone. However, Hadia, the mother of the girls, insisted that the marriage would only take place when the boys came to Pakistan. The boys eventually arrived, and a marriage ceremony was arranged at the boys' house. The boys’ mother requested that only ten to fifteen guests be invited for a simple wedding, and that the larger family would be invited later for the reception. Hadia agreed. However, when the girls’ family arrived for the wedding, they found the two grooms seated on the sofas in their wedding attire and not greeting anyone, which struck everyone as odd, but no one said anything.
After the ceremony, the boys' mother took the guests to another room for dinner. But when everyone returned to meet the grooms in the drawing room, the boys were no longer there. When Hadia inquired about the missing grooms, the mother explained that one of her sons’ uncles had passed away, and the boys had gone to attend the funeral. When Hadia asked for the address of the funeral, the boys’ mother claimed it was far away and that the roads were in poor condition.
Five days later, it was discovered that the two grooms had returned to the UK. The boys kept in touch with their wives over the phone, urging them to get their visas sorted out. The grooms also sent expensive phones as gifts, paid for their education fees for an MSc, and started sending them monthly allowances. Two years passed, and neither the wives’ visas were processed nor was there any indication of progress. One day, the boys’ mother called Hadia and accused her of being greedy, claiming that her sons were being exploited. She said that Hadia’s daughters had received phones, education fees, and monthly allowances. Hadia was unaware of this. When she questioned her daughters, it turned out that a total of fourteen lakh rupees had been sent. Hadia returned seven lakh rupees and promised to return the rest later.
Then, the mother-in-law insisted that Hadia send her daughters for a nursing course. However, Sajadia and Nadia, who wanted to become scientists, refused. The mother-in-law reacted harshly, saying that the daughters would stay in Pakistan and would never go to the UK or get a divorce. After hearing such cruel words, Hadia sent a relative to the Lake District, who was also in London, to investigate further. It was revealed that both of Hadia's sons-in-law were physically disabled and relied on government benefits. The nursing course was suggested so that the wives could care for their disabled husbands. Upon learning this, Hadia broke down in tears, realizing that her daughters had been deceived and defrauded.
I suggested that Hadia should divorce both of her daughters' husbands, but Hadia was afraid that after the divorce, no one would want to marry her daughters. Ultimately, selfish people ruined the lives of two sisters. Sajadia and Nadia now cry day and night. Fraudsters don’t care about the damage they cause to others; they are only interested in their own gain. Never harm others for your own benefit.
