In North East Delhi, as reconstruction of property gutted during the riots begins, many shops and and mosques have reached a stage where they have resumed their functioning. However, no governmental organization extended help for the reconstruction of mosques. While a Hindu shop received funding from the District Magistrate's Office, they received the first gesture of help from a Muslim organization. As the investigation continues, a few locals have stated that they still do not know who was responsible for the attacks. In the last few months, the Delhi Police has also invited criticism from various sections of society for implicating students and activists in the riots.
