Photographic memory dude. Beware of the agent that writes nothing down. No one can remember everything that was said and often the notes or summary of the meeting are more valuable than the meeting itself. The pitfall here is not getting your comments, concerns, and problems addressed…ever.

To avoid this pitfall you have two choices:
1) ask upfront to see any notes or to receive a summary at the end to make sure everyone is on the same page.
2) if you are particularly ninja-like, don’t mention anything in the beginning but ask to see what they have written AFTER. Personally, I would not trust anyone I was paying if they wouldn't show me what they were writing. [Insider tip: if the agent you meet with isn’t taking notes, you damn sure better be! Then share your notes with them!]
