Trying To Check Slip Yoke For Vibration

In this video I am trying to check just the slip yoke part (which consists of a yoke that the rectangular shaft slide inside of and a splined yoke that slips onto a splined PTO shaft on the tractor) for vibration. I have mounted a PTO shaft in the mower hub at the tailstock end and it is secured to the splined end of the yoke with a 1/4" bolt and nut. I have also mounted a short piece of rectangular shaft in the four jaw chuck for the slip joint end to rest on and be driven by. The first part I am using a slip joint that came with a tractor and then I tried using the yoke that I use with the mower deck and observing the surface of the liquid. Since I had wondered about the slip yoke from the deck being put together 180° from where it was originally I observed the slip joint initially, took the joint apart and clocked the yoke 180° and put it back together. Then I spun the slip joint and did not notice much difference in the surface of the liquid. The good news is that clocking the yokes does not appear to have made the vibration worse. I may have to try and come up with a different method to check for vibration at the slip yoke.
