Hello all! I am back from hiatus to bring you a revisit to some of California's most scenic railroading: The Santa Barbara Subdivision!
Towards the last half of last year, I was able to venture extensively up into this region of Southern California to capture some of the more vintage and modern landmarks that mark this area of rails. While not immediately captured during my course of dedicated time covering this area, there were countless NPCU, P42, SPD40Fs, UP Passenger Specials, and even a patched SP Leader on the Guadalupe flyer. And although I was not able to catch a train in the area, at the end of the video I included photographs of some of the last remaining Searchlight type signals that are in mainline operation in the country. Additionally, had caught word of a Watsonville flyer that makes its way down to Paso Robles occasionally that has a few patched Cotton Belt units as well.
Even thought not all was documented, this portion of rail line is one of the more unique I have captured and thoroughly enjoy the chance to get up to this portion of Southern California. I truly hope all that watch this video enjoy some of the more unique power moves this line brings and I definitely recommend all who are interested to venture here as well!
Lastly, thank you all who have stuck through my uploading hiatus, I look to continue to upload and document my adventures and hope to add in some new ones as well. As always if you enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe for more! See you all soon!
