Dancing Beyond Thought: Bhagavad Gita Verses for Awakening

Описание: Sixty verses from the Bhagavad Gita selected for their usefulness in nondual awakening, chanted by gary weber. These verses are the same ones in the same order as in the book "Dancing Beyond Thought: Bhagavad Gita Verses and Dialogues for Awakening" and are offered as a "companion" for that book.

These verses deal with the nature of the Self, dying, practices for awakening, dealing w/desires, renunciation, being free of past actions, experience of awakening, free will and control, surrender, likelihood of success in awakening, "fixing" the world, mood changes, being disliked and disrespected, living in the world after awakening, and sin and karma.

The chants are given w/an annotated text in transliterated Sanskrit and in translated English in a word-by-word format with summary sentences for the translation.

The slight differences between what is in the text and what is chanted are due to the use of "Sandhi", the rule for merging Sanskrit words together when they are chanted or for meter in writing. If one does the chanting from the text, you will feel the "Sandhi" occurring naturally.
