Klamath River adventures catching Salmon & Steelhead

Описание: A guided fishing trip on the Klamath River in Northern California in late August. Our fishing highlights of our day reeling in multiple fish with Guide Kenny Priest of Fishing the North Coast. One adult hard-fighting salmon attempted to jump out of the net and almost made it. Several feisty jack salmon were landed and one chrome-bright steelhead. All fish were revived and released.

We also had bald eagles, golden eagles fly over us and we saw one black bear on the river bank.

Only a handful of fishing guides were on the river and we landed fish at Blake's Riffle, Knapps, Blue Creek and Bear Creek fishing spots.

It was great to be on the watershed again to see how the river has changed over time and to see good numbers of fish moving up river.

Weekly Fishing Report: There are quite a few fish hanging out in the Klamath River estuary, so fishing should remain good for the next couple weeks, or longer. The daily bag limit is two hatchery steelhead or hatchery trout per day on both the Klamath and Trinity rivers, with a possession limit of four. Anglers must have a Steelhead Report/Restoration Card in their possession while fishing for steelhead trout in anadromous waters. Anglers cannot take or retain Chinook salmon on the Klamath and Trinity river.
