Описание: Seit mehr als zwanzig Jahren hinterfragt Lucy McKenzie die Grenzen zwischen Malerei und anderen Bereichen der kulturellen Produktion. Anlässlich ihrer ersten Überblicksausstellung präsentiert das Museum Brandhorst ein Gespräch zwischen Lucy McKenzie und dem Kurator Jacob Proctor. Diskutiert werden die Entwicklung ihres Werks, ihre Interessen und Einflüsse sowie ihre künstlerische Methodik in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten.

Lucy McKenzie wurde 1977 in Glasgow geboren. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Brüssel, Belgien.

Das Gespräch fand im Rahmen von Various Others und der Ausstellung „Lucy McKenzie – Prime Suspect“ statt, die bis 21. Februar 2021 im Museum Brandhorst zu sehen ist.

For more than twenty years, Lucy McKenzie has challenged the boundaries between painting and other fields of cultural production. On the occasion of her first survey exhibition, Museum Brandhorst presents a conversation between Lucy McKenzie and curator Jacob Proctor. They will discuss the evolution of her work, interests and influences, and artistic methodology over the past two decades.

Lucy McKenzie was born in Glasgow in 1977. She lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.

The conversation takes place in the context of Various Others and the exhibition "Lucy McKenzie – Prime Suspect", which can be seen at the Museum Brandhorst until 21 February 2021.

The talk will then be available in the media library and on the YouTube channel of Museum Brandhorst.
