Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin 2025 Mission Video

Описание: As part of Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin, we had a chance to speak with Andrea Moskal and Julian Beld about their experiences with battling cancer. As well as Rebecca Minter MD, MBA, FACS from the Surgical Oncology department at UW Health and Christian Capitini MD, from the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology department at UW Health.

In this video, they share their personal journeys with cancer, highlighting the challenges of battling the disease, the importance of early detection, and the critical need for cancer research funding. The video emphasizes the mission of the ‪@AmericanCancerSociety‬ and UW Carbone Cancer Center to end cancer, improve treatment accessibility, and prevent future diagnoses. It underscores the urgency of philanthropic support for groundbreaking research and innovation, especially amidst funding cuts. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer and support those impacted by this disease.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a national partnership between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches ‪@nabc1927‬ uniting communities to raise awareness, promote healthy living, and fund cancer research. Since 1993, the program has raised more than $167 million nationwide, including over $11.6 million in Wisconsin, the leading Coaches vs. Cancer program in the country. Currently, ACS is funding $5.44 million in cancer research at ‪@uwmadison‬ alone.
Through advocacy, research, and patient support, the American Cancer Society is improving lives every day, driving policy change, advancing discoveries, and providing critical resources to patients and families.
