In a Catholic Conference showdown between undefeated St. John’s Prep and one loss Catholic Memorial the host Eagles erased a two score deficit by ringing off 21 unanswered points to take a 29-20 lead going into the half. Quarterback Christopher Vargas and receiver Riley Selvais were outstanding on the day against a really talented Knights defense. Vargas threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns two of which went to Selvais who finished with a game high 130 yards receiving. With the win the Eagles move to 8-0 and lead the Catholic Conference. Both teams secured the number one seed in their respective division for the postseason which kicks off this week. The Eagles host Framingham in the first round while the Knights have a bye week.
