Driving means prolonged sitting and often bad posture, incl. slouching. This strains your tissues and causes lower back pain, contraction of the piriformis, buttock pain, compression of the sciatic nerve. Sometimes, it can even lead to a disc hernia!
There are different reasons why people slouch in the car. But a simple one is this: if your toes point sideways, so does your knee, which will make you slouch. Just reorient your toes and you'll be safe.
To help you keeping your toes pointing upwards, you will need to adjust your car seat, in part. the seat pan angle. This will help support your thighs, and thereby avoid that they fall sideways.
Back pain, neck tension, shoulder strain, or wrist discomfort — most of these are cumulative issues caused by poor posture, inefficient ergonomics, and lack of targeted movement. This channel exists to help you understand your body and take back control through practical, science-based self-care strategies.
You’ll learn how to:
fix posture-related back pain at the root,
apply neck pain relief strategies at home or in the office,
and build your own ergonomic self-care routine — no gadgets or ongoing therapy required.
