It’s the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina — one of the most devastating storms in American history.
This isn’t a documentary. It’s not breaking news. It’s just my story — where I was, what I saw, and how I remember those days when Katrina hit and the world shifted.
In August 2005, I was on tour — living fast, chasing the dream, the kind of “rockstar on the road” life most people only see in movies. The night before Katrina made landfall, I was closing down a bowling alley in Pittsburgh. The next morning, Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, and everything changed.
This video isn’t about me. It’s about honoring the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast — their resilience, their spirit, their rhythm. Twenty years later, the scars are still there, but so is the music, the food, the laughter, and the soul.
⚡ This is a little different from my usual content here on RealityRoxstar — where I talk ADHD, midlife, and surviving the chaos with sarcasm and honesty. But people have been asking me for more road stories, so here’s one.
👉 If this kind of storytelling hits, let me know in the comments. Do you want more? Or should I stick to the usual?
