Trains captured at Maitland station prior to the departure of the Picnic Train towards Werris Creek.
0727 hrs: Pacific National loaded coal with 9311, 9306 & 9319 heading for the Port of Newcastle.
0743 hrs: Newcastle port bound SSR grain service, headed by C509, 1202 & RL302 grinds to a halt at the station
0803 hrs: after an extended stop, the grain service moves off, as a Telarah to Newcastle NSW Trainlink service arrives
0806 hrs: NSW Trainlink DMU 2752 & 2702 arrives with the 0638hrs Scone to Newcastle service, 7 minutes late after being delayed by the stopped grain service
0816 hrs: 4716 brings the empty cars for the “Picnic Train” service through the station, with steam loco 5917 on the rear.
0818 hrs: One Rail Australia loaded coal passes, as 5917 and train awaits permission to enter the platform
0819 hrs: Steam loco 5917 brings the Picnic Train cars into the platform
