The National Forensic Mental Health Service (NFMHS) is a new state-of-the-art facility located 22km from Dublin City in Portrane Demesne, Portrane, Co. Dublin, K36 FD79.
The project was awarded to the Joint Venture of OHL (50 percent) and JJ Rhatigan (50 percent) by the Health Service Executive.
The new facility consists of ten hospital buildings, as well as a primary care education and treatment center and an administrative complex. The NFMHS can provide care for up to 170 patients, it will have a Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (FCAMHS) Unit and Intensive Care Rehabilitation Unit (ICRU).
