Iceland's FAMOUS Canyon Hike: Why you have to visit Fjaðrárgljúfur

Join us on Day 3 of our Iceland Ring Road trip as we explore the absolutely stunning Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon! Famous for its dramatic cliffs and winding river, this place is breathtakingly beautiful. See the incredible views from the hiking trail and check out our epic drone footage!

BUT, be prepared! We visited in March 2024, and the main walking path was EXTREMELY muddy and difficult to navigate. We share the reality of the hike, tips on respecting the fragile environment (stay on the path if possible!), and information about the parking fee (1000 ISK).

We also share a quick, unexpected stop at the beautiful Gonguleið um Eldhraun lava field moss walk and explain why we had to skip the Hjörleifshöfði "Yoda Cave" due to road conditions. Is Fjaðrárgljúfur still worth the muddy trek? Watch and decide!
