What Is Adrenal Fatigue?

In this increasingly demanding world few people are unaffected by stress. While family physicians are aware of this, few of us have good tools to offer our patients to help them cope as one moves from stress to chronic stress to burnout or adrenal fatigue. This presentation will discuss stress physiology and the HPA axis. Using case studies we will review signs/symptoms of adrenal fatigue, concomittant hormonal dysfunctions, and other comorbidites. Diagnostic techniques and most importantly management through nutritional, supplement, medication and lifestyle modalities will be reviewed.
