Hey guys! In this episode, I talk about my recent struggles with re-implementing exercise into my life. Since coming to college, I have never found a good structure to prioritize my physical health, and honestly, I have forgotten how much better it can make you feel and change your life. Luckily, I have been running again in response to stress and also to clear my mind for these weekly podcasts!
When you’re having a really hard time, turn your brain off and immediately go outside. Make it a non-negotiable and split-second response. Do whatever you need to get a sweat out, because it both physiologically and mentally will make you feel so much better. All you have to do is just trust the outcome more than your current emotions or state. Trust me, I fully know how hard it can be to get out of your head and actively pull yourself out of a rut. In fact, it might be a better thing to preach this at one of the most unhealthy points I’ve ever been in my life. I hate exercising just as much as you right now. But when I am having a hard time, I need to remind myself to turn off my brain and JUST GO.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. Don’t worry about the pace, numbers, or quality. Just get the body moving and sweat your stress out, and you will thank yourself later. If not I will personally apologize to you.
