One of the most beautiful and fascinating finds from the Hypogeum of Ħal Saflieni on Malta is the figurine known as the Sleeping Lady. Excavated from this Neolithic labyrinth, that in many ways, imitated the above-ground megalithic temples, the statuette is alluring and mysterious. What could it have represented to the temple people who carved it and put it in this ritual site?
