The origin of Nanjing's sycamore trees

The boulevards constructed by Nanjing's "French Sycamore" are one of the most beautiful scenic routes, but the "French Sycamore", as it has been called for many years, is in fact neither a sycamore nor a tree from France. The "Flora of China" records that "French sycamore" is an alias for the hanging bell tree, belonging to the genus hanging bell tree of the hanging bell tree family.
