The special envoy to Ukraine from the United States, Steve Witkoff, stated that the framework for developing an agreement on how to bring peace between Russia and Ukraine would develop in the coming months, and although the two nations made good progress towards the hope of a resolution, it would take time before a comprehensive agreement would come together. No outline was given for the next round of diplomatic discussions to continue; therefore, all timelines and commitments remain to be seen. President Zelensky indicated that Russia and the United States will hold negotiations soon on U.S. soil.
