'Sungtache hooman' as we say it in goa/prawns curry is one of the most loved curries by tourist who visit our goa.We can add drumstick/lady's finger/radish/raw mango whilst preparing the same.Coconut milk is the traditional ingredient which enhances the taste of this curry
My unique preparation (including Prawns cleaning) today is inspired by the way my grandmother used to prepare it by using certain ingredients which were used traditionally in ancient goan GSB (Saraswat) cuisine and are almost getting extinct nowadays.This curry is a combination of mild spices and hence relished by all age groups and all cultures.

Ingredients
*1/2 kg net medium big size white prawns (sungta/kolambi)
*Salt as per taste
1/2 +1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
*7/8 pepper corns (kali miri/black pepper).
2& 1/2 TSP of coriander seeds (dhane/sukha daniya)
1 small onion roughly chopped (pyaaz/kanda)
small ball of tamarind ( chinch/imli)
*1 big onion finely chopped (baarik kata pyaaz/kanda)
2 drumsticks(shenga,
sahajan ki phali)
1 tbsp coconut oil
2&1/2 TSP red chilly powder(lal mirch powder)
coconut milk extracted from 1/2 coconut
*1/2 grated coconut
