Doi chingri | Curd to cook prawns

Описание: Prawns are popular all over the world and the Bengalis usually opt for doi chingri (or prawns cooked in curd). There are innumerable ways to cook this fish and the recipe shown here is a different method altogether. Here the dish is cooked without frying. That way, their original taste largely remains intact.

The ingredients include prawns shelled and cleaned. A paste of onion, garlic and ginger is added during the process. Powdered spices are used to improve the taste. Then there is the homemade curd, and steam plays a major role. The dish can be taken with rice, chapati or paratha.
