Ozone nucleolysis is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment for lumbar disc herniation (slip disc) and sciatica. In this procedure, a small amount of medical ozone is injected into the affected disc under C-arm (fluoroscopic) guidance.

Ozone works by:

• Reducing disc volume (disc shrinkage)
• Decreasing nerve compression
• Reducing inflammation
• Improving oxygenation around the nerve

The procedure is done under local anesthesia, requires no stitches, and patients can usually return home the same day.
