In this WOW Wednesday Sister Call, we leaned into the sacred tension that comes when God has spoken, but the outcome has not yet unfolded. Radical obedience is easy when results are visible. It becomes transformational when trust must stand alone.

This session was a call to trust God in the middle, in the waiting, in the stretch, in the silence. We talked about what happens when obedience feels costly, when clarity feels partial, and when faith must override feelings.

“I trust You in the tension” is not passive surrender. It is active faith. It is choosing obedience even when emotions fluctuate. It is standing firm when logic wants to retreat. It is worshiping while waiting.

We confronted the temptation to rush ahead of God, to manufacture outcomes, or to shrink back in discouragement. Tension is not punishment. Tension is positioning. It reveals what we truly believe about God’s character.

Through scripture, reflection, and prayer, we were reminded that obedience in the tension builds spiritual endurance, deepens intimacy, and anchors us in truth. Radical obedience requires us to remain aligned even when resolution is not immediate.

This call was a prophetic invitation to stop negotiating in the middle and to declare with confidence: God, I trust You here.

Proverbs 3:5–6 AMP | "Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth."

Hebrews 10:36 AMP | "For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised."

James 1:2–4 AMP | "Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed in your faith, lacking in nothing."

Isaiah 40:31 AMP | "But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power; they will lift up their wings and rise up close to God like eagles rising toward the sun; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired."

Luke 1:45 AMP | "Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her."

WOW Notes For You To Apply:

1. Name the tension you are currently carrying. Do not avoid it. Bring it before God in honesty.
2. Resist the urge to rush the process. Tension is not delay. It is development.
3. Capture thoughts that question God’s character and replace them with scripture.
4. Practice obedience in small, daily steps. Consistency builds endurance.
5. Declare aloud: I trust You in the tension. My obedience does not depend on outcomes.
6. Stay in community. Tension feels heavier in isolation.

If you are walking through a season where the promise feels distant but obedience is required daily, this replay is your reminder: tension is not evidence that God is absent. It is evidence that something is being formed in you.

Radical obedience in the tension positions you for the fulfillment of what God has already spoken.
