Because of concert cancelations for the foreseeable future due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been in musical isolation for the past three weeks with many more on the horizon. On the bright side, this extended sabbatical from live performance has given me a chance to start some fun projects.
I wrote a clarinet quartet arrangement of Strauss' first waltz from "Der Rosenkavalier" on the morning of March 31st and recorded it that evening. All parts are recorded in one take.
