Marie's claim to fame is its Soo Locks which is the main thoroughfare for large freighter ships that travel from Lake Superior to the lower Great Lakes. Just over the bridge is Canada which for us was so close, yet so far! In this episode of Rally Bound & Beyond, Stan and Rhonda spend two nights at what has become one of their favorite campsites, the Elks Lodge #552 campground in Sault Ste. Marie. They camp on a peninsula that stretches out into Saint Mary's River. The views are incredible with large freighters passing through the river as a back drop.
