Michigan's First City: Sault Ste. Marie 5K.

Описание: Sault Ste. Marie is mostly known for being home to the Soo Locks, but there's a lot more that Michigan's first city offers to curious minds. The SS Valley Camp is an old Great Lakes freighter that is anchored here as it serves as a "Museum Ship." The Tower of History serves as an observation tower over the Soo Locks, and there's plenty of touristy like shops and restaurants in Downtown Sault Ste. Marie to help serve the half million visitors that the town sees on average every year. On the flip side, the economic climate of Sault Ste. Marie is the same as the rest of the Upper Peninsula: Lifeless. Without tourism this area would be really struggling.
