The location of Château Frontenac is ideal for anyone who wants to walk around Quebec City and enjoy the small shops, restaurants and other attractions like the winter sledding, hot chocolate and maple taffy made on the snow.

The Château Frontenac was really never a castle. The hotel was a part of a series of Châteauesque-styled hotels built for the Canadian Pacific Railway company during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
