Last year I took part in the 35 mile challenge across Dartmoor called Ten Tors which is hosted by the British Army. After many months of TRAINING, the event finally came and myself and the rest of the team were able to hike the 35 miles across the unforgiving, cold and hilly terrain of Dartmoor National Park. It took a day and a half meaning we had to bring tents and food and be self-sufficient throughout the whole time. As team leader of our group I was in charge of making the decisions that led to us being able to finish this arduous challenge. The challenge developed our skills such as teamwork, navigation, and overall mountaineering. This short video encapsulates the last training exercise we did on Dartmoor and the actual competition itself.
