1967年にデビューした南仏の海岸道路の名前を表すコーニッシュは、その名の通り世界の王侯貴族や富豪がバカンスをリゾートで過ごすために造られたような最高級パーソナルカーである。
熟練工によってアルミ板を手で叩くという手法で一台一台手造りするため、スタンダードのスチールサルーンの倍ほどの工程と製作期間を要するが、上質でより豪華に仕上げられている。
サスペンションはフロントはダブルウィッシュボーン／コイル、リアはトレーリングアーム／コイルの全輪独立で、シトロエン特許の自動車高調節装置が付き、その油圧を利用した4輪パワー付きディスクブレーキを備える。
1992年、生誕25周年となる年に最終モデルのコーニッシュIVが登場。
「必要にして充分なだけ」と発表されている馬力とトルクが不明な伝統のアルミ製V8OHV・6747ccユニットはそのまま踏襲され、ATは4速となったがコラムシフトのままとされた。
エンジンにはカバーが付き、ソフトトップは信頼性の高い電動に変更、リアウィンドーが熱線入りのガラスに替えられた。

Cornish, the name of the coastal road in southern France, which debuted in 1967, is, as its name suggests, a top-class personal car that was built for the world's royal aristocrats and millionaires to spend their vacations at resorts.

Each one is hand-made by a skilled worker by hitting an aluminum plate by hand, so it takes about twice as many processes and production time as a standard steel saloon, but it is finished in high quality and more luxuriously.

The suspension is double wishbone / coil on the front and the trailing arm / coil on the rear is independent of all wheels, and is equipped with a Citroen patented vehicle height adjustment device, and equipped with a four-wheel power disc brake that uses its hydraulic pressure.

In 1992, the final model Cornish IV appeared in the 25th anniversary of birth.

The traditional aluminum V8OHV · 6747cc unit with unknown horsepower and torque announced as “necessary and sufficient” was followed as it was, and the AT became 4th speed but was left as a column shift.

The engine has a cover, the soft top has been changed to a highly reliable electric drive, and the rear window has been replaced with glass with hot wires.
