The Goblins of Paliza Canyon are volcanic hoodoos found near Ponderosa, NM. Come explore this area with us, and learn about the geologic conditions that created such unique rock formations.
The Sandia Mountain Natural History Center is a partnership between the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and Albuquerque Public Schools. Our mission is to work within New Mexico communities to develop an ecologically literate citizenry. We primarily accomplish this with our Ecology Field Program, in which we take 5th grade classes on hikes to explore and learn about their local ecosystem.
