Mount Tallac is the tallest mountain on the immediate shoreline of Lake Tahoe. Mount Tallac stands a t 9,738 feet tall. The views of the surrounding lakes and mountains from Mount Tallac's summit are unparalleled.
Overall the out and back hike to the summit of Mount Tallac was 9.59 miles with ~ ~3,200 feet of gain. It took us about 4.5 hrs total time to do.
Mount Tallac is a fantastic hike that is a must-do while in the Lake Tahoe area.
