Filmed in Glasgow on 8th June 2025.
There's nothing like having the streets to yourself (and hundreds of other cyclists) at least for a few hours. Enjoying the infrastructure you pay for but hardly ever use. Seeing the smiles on other people's faces, feeling the wind on yours and hearing the 'swoosh' sound as you pass others and others pass you.
This was a rare event where the general public was allowed to use the race circuit for a few hours after the race. A lot of people were disappointed to only learn about it afterwards and I did make an effort to complain to Glasgow Life about poor communication (but that's a separate story really).
I hope this high speed video of it brings you some joy. It was a big hit when I uploaded it to my Facebook page but here you can finally see it in better quality.
P.S. Once my passenger has had enough... I came back on my own, without the trailer, to do it again (but a lot faster!)
