D'arce is one of the main playable characters in the game Fear and Hunger. Having been born into a wealthy family with a dominating soul, she was set up to be a great leader and grew to be a holy knight of Alll-Mer in the kingdom of Rondon. However, she became discontented and chose to leave the army and become a member of the mercenary group, the knights of the midnight sun led by Le'garde. She rose to become a prominent member of the group, but her faith wavered when le guard invaded and slaughtered the people of oldegard in order to obtain the cube of the depths.

Despite his actions, D'arce still cared deeply for her leader, and this brought her to the dungeons of Fear & Hunger to rescue him. D'arce encountered many unspeakable horrors within the dungeon, and in her unique S ending, we see she failed to find Le'garde alive, but was able to revive him with dark magic. But the man she brought back was not the one she knew.
