Living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for a few years to several decades, Kim, Tonie and Sylvia share their Taoist Tai Chi® practice and how it helps them be stronger, more resilient and stable. Tai chi reduces their anxiety in managing daily challenges and gives them hope for managing the progression of this life-long condition.
Taoist Tai Chi® arts include movements such as Tai Chi, temple activities, chanting, and volunteering. Taoist training, which develops strength, flexibility, and stillness, works on all aspects of the person to reduce stress and help us find energy, balance, and joy. The practice works deep into the body, improving circulation, and promoting well-being. It is also a form of meditation that returns the mind to stillness and clarity. In this tradition, health comes when body, mind, and spirit are one.
