This is the pseudonym of Ben Thomas, who sang a duet with Peggy March.
During the Flower movement, this singer, well versed in stage manners,
changed his name to Christopher Robbins and released
high-quality pop on RCA Victor.
Side A is arranged by Jimmy Wisner and is a hidden gem of sunshine pop,
with a cool rhythm reminiscent of Northern Soul and
a backing group that plays surf harmonies.
The composers, Ben Raleigh and Mark Barkan, are famous
for Lesley Gore's hit "She's a Fool," and Mark Barkan was
also a session member of Rusty Evans' studio psychedelic unit, The Deep,
and directed the TV show The Banana Splits Adventure Hour,
so he had a wide range of work.
Bennie Thomas then went to England in 1970 and
formed a psychedelic band called Toomorrow with
Olivia Newton-John before Olivia make solo debut.
