Here is my GBA-style cover of Gourmet Race from Kirby: Super Star.


Composed by Jun Ishikawa, “Gourmet Race” is the main theme of the Gourmet Race sub-game in Kirby: Super Star. The track plays during competitive stages where Kirby races against King Dedede, and is known for its fast tempo and playful melody that emphasizes speed and urgency. Over time, the theme has become one of the most iconic pieces in the Kirby series and is frequently reused and remixed across later Kirby titles and spin-offs.

Kirby: Super Star is a 1996 action-platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game features multiple distinct sub-games within a single package and is widely regarded as one of the most influential entries in the Kirby franchise.


This cover was made using the soundfont of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Game Boy Advance. I used AnvilStudio and FEBuilder to create this arrangement. The track is fully usable in potential ROM hacks.
