Here is my GBA-style cover of Hyrule Castle from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.


Composed by Koji Kondo, the Hyrule Castle theme debuted in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991) and is one of the most recognizable musical motifs in the Zelda series. The track underscores the grandeur and authority of Hyrule Castle, blending a sense of heroism with looming danger during Link’s infiltration of the castle early in the game.

A Link to the Past is a 1991 action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and is widely regarded as a foundational entry in the Zelda franchise.

Variations and arrangements of the Hyrule Castle theme have appeared in multiple later titles, such as The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, where it continues to represent the royal seat of Hyrule and its central role in the series’ mythology.


This cover was made using the soundfont of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Game Boy Advance. I used AnvilStudio and FEBuilder to create this arrangement. The track is fully usable in potential ROM hacks.
