Derelict women's dormitory in the canton of Glarus | Lost Place Switzerland | Urbex Europe

Описание: This abandoned building in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland used to be a women's hostel or female workers' home. The young ladies, mostly from Italy, later former Yugoslavia and Turkey, were looked after by nuns. The eastern part was built around 1900, the western part about 20 years later. The purpose of the home was to house and feed the young female employees of a nearby spinning mill. The girls' home was closed down about 40 years ago with the aim of building family housing on site. To this day, however, nothing has happened and the hostel has been left to its fate.
