Choose Love, Build Stadiums, Chase Emus

We get into the Bills, the new stadium, and the idea that somehow public funding for billion-dollar franchises keeps getting pitched as a good deal.

That naturally turns into a broader conversation about sports culture — mascots, rivalries, and the weird traditions we all accept without thinking too hard about them.

From there, things drift (because of course they do) into the world of messaging in sports. We talk about virtue signaling, slogans painted everywhere, and whether phrases like “Choose Love” on helmets and end zones actually do anything — or if they’ve just become background noise we’ve all stopped noticing.

The episode isn’t all football and frustration though. We share some friendship stories, laugh at how absurd sports economics can be (looking at you, baseball), and eventually land on one of the most Florida headlines imaginable: a deputy attempting to handcuff a runaway emu. Because no matter how serious the conversation gets, Florida is always ready to reset the tone.

It’s part sports talk, part cultural side-eye, and part reminder that sometimes the most memorable stories are the ones that absolutely don’t matter at all.
