January 24, 2026 Amazon to Lima, Peru

Описание: Early morning rising and walk at 6am for a coffee. Today we Fly back to Lima. After our Amazonian breakfast we head heading back to the airport by motorized boat and van. Then the flight to Lima.

I opted for an overnight stay at the airport area versus deeper into the city with the rest of the group. My plan was to make it home a couple days early but then dealing with the disruption due to the weather system.

The following day on the 25th was a late check out at 2pm. Hanging at the hotel until about 8pm or so for shuttle to the airport. Smooth check in. My flight plans changed so many time but my goal was to get into North America and eventually to Canada.

Lima flight to Houston at 2am - so settled into the airport after a bite to watch a movie on ipad. Then landed in Houston and about 7 hr layover so paid for a Lounge access. Good coffee(s) and food.

Houston to Tampa which was to be a 50hr plus layover to Toronto. I was able to get that changes to the following morning to Newark 8:30am . So I opted for a corner of the airport to crash versus trying to find a $400 + night hotel located an hours drive away. Skipping the need then to re-enter the airport and security.

Tampa to Newark then a few hours layover to Halifax. Arriving evening of the 28th .

So much snow ... lol .. I did check in on the tour vans and they won't be on the road until April but all is good.
